I'm on standby for the next 4 hours, but I told the duty desk girl that I really want to fly today and not have to commute back to my crashpad in all this snow. God I hate snow. But it isn't about the snow so much as I really don't want to have to fly out of Newark tomorrow which is what I'm down for.
Cross your fingers that I get something easy. Like Ireland. No stress, easy 3 day, and I forgot my camera so I won't feel guilty for not going out.

I know I thanked you all for the THOUGHT. But. I had my second shower today and opened my present. And now I get to actually thank you for EVERYTHING.
And my card.
And I cried like a two year old.
Though I laughed more when I had to start explaining how message boards work to my Grandma. And what Snert Slayers were.
That card travled more than I did, y'all. And it had CINDERELLA. That was SO PERFECT.
And I love you all. To itty bitty pieces.
And I'm going to make cookies with my GORGEOUS new mixer and if they're edible I'll mail some to all of you as a thank you.
And I have to reiterate again that I love you all more than you can ever know.

OH! And my mom mentioned that you sent her a letter explaining who you all were and everything and she said it was one of the sweetest things she's seen. And also: "All those years I thought you were just wasting your nights away on the computer doing nothing. This is so far from nothing, I'm blown away."

SNERT SAYERS!
So I got a call from my mom today that a package arrived at the house. And she goes "Who is Snert Slayer and why are they sending you a wedding present?"
And I just about burst into tears.
You guys, that's like seriously the sweetest, most amazing thing ever. I haven't opened it yet and have been restraining myself bodily from checking my registry to see what's fulfilled since I want to be surprised when I open it with my wedding presents. But I wanted you all to know how much I love you and how deeply it means to me that you all cared and came together and got me anything at all.
I love you all. More than words can possibly say.
Also, everyone who contributed is going to have to send me their address so I can write you Thank You cards, because... God, I can't even begin to tell you how floored and unbelievably thankful I am. For all of you.
And even if I'm not around at all, you all are always in my thoughts, on my mind and in my heart.

US Airways flight 1549. La Guardia to Charlotte.
The plane hit a flock of geese which damaged the engines (speculated). The fact that the pilots managed to land it (softly and without any fuselage damage!) in the Hudson and not over Manhattan is amazing. The fact every single passenger and crew member made it out is nothing short of miraculous. Way to go, US Air flight attendants. No man left behind.
I'm okay. Wasn't my flight (or my airlines). Thought you all might want to know I was safe. And, thank God, so is everyone else.

So. As a lot of you now know wedding stuff has been ridiculous. But, thankfully, it's all been worked out. It's a good thing I procrastinate and hadn't done my invites yet since that would have really sucked since the date changed. BUT. It's fine. It's good. Now my anniversary will be 3, 2, 1. Which is kinda awesome.
The lady who screwed up our date was great about it and threw in a whole bunch of random things and is personally making sure everything is perfect. Well, she better. And the DJ is cool with moving it back a month as well.
Ah well. Hurdles. Gotta deal.
Work is great. David Archuleta was on my flight last night. I swear the kid smiles and puppies sing and rainbows spring into existence and somewhere Edward Cullen sparkles. He's like, the sweetest kid in existence, I'm not even joking. He asked which was healthier of our meals on board. Oh silly David, it's airline food. It's never healthy.
And tomorrow I layover in Huntsville. Oh joy.

Alive. Doing well! On a layover in Charlotte, NC. Was on one in Palm Beach, FL last night. Will update more about the final weeks of training and What I Learned On My First Trip As A Flight Attendant. It involves 4 am cab rides with strangers and sleeping on the floor of a lounge in NY. Really. You can't miss it.
For now I'm going to bed because I have a 4:40 am Pick Up for my 6 am flight to Atlanta tomorrow.
